---About the game---

This is a remake of the game 'Colony' by mastertronic/bulldog software. More info can be found about the original game at http://www.worldofspectrum.org/infoseek.cgi?regexp=^Colony$&pub=^Bulldog$.

The idea is to grow mushrooms inside your colony and to keep the aliens out while they are growing. When mushrooms have grown, they can be gathered and taken to the mushroom store to exchange for cash.

The aliens will eat through almost anything in your colony including mushrooms and solar panels, so they must be kept out.

You must replace damaged fences to keep out the aliens, replacements are kept in the fencing stores. Barbed wire is the weakest, then wood, and steel fencing is the strongest.

Your colony's power bar is shown on the right, this must be kept up by replacing solar panels. Replacements are kept in general stores. If the power falls below a certain level, you will lose your scanner and power grids, which prevent aliens from passing into your colony. Also, don't let the power bar reach the maximum or the generator will overload, blowing out some of your solar panels.

You can recharge your droids power and laser in the charger room, but this will drain the colony's power.

You can get your remote droid going by feeding it a battery. It will then roam the map and kill any aliens it finds, until the battery runs out. The remote droid appears as a white dot on the scanner.

The screen:

On the top-left is your droid's energy and ammo bars, and the amount of credits you have.
Bottom-left is your inventory.
Bottom middle is the amount of mushrooms and seeds your droid is carrying.
Bottom-right is your scanner.
On the right is your colony's power level.
Top-right is the game's run time and the time the next supply shipment will arrive.

To control your droid the controls are currently:

Cursor keys for movement
space to fire
'm' to pickup/drop items/plant seeds (you must stand facing them)
'n' to cycle through inventory items
escape to quit to title screen
'q' quits while on title screen

The controls cannot be changed in this release.
