"Funiter" is an abbreviation for "Function Iteration". The 'i' is pronounced as the 'i' in 'it' a bit like the 'ea' sound in 'eat' or 'lease'.

How to calculate the Mandelbrot set?

  1. Hit <Enter> to exit the intro screen.
  2. Hit <Enter> again to change the functiontype from "Functiontype: From R to R" to "Functiontype: From C to C".
  3. Hit the <Cursor Down> key one time to go to the next menu item "Graph", and hit <Enter> again.
  4. Go to "Orbit diagram for variable c (Mandelbrot) >" by pressing the <Cursor Down> key three times. Hit <Enter> again.
  5. Go to "Escape time" by pressing the <Cursor Down> key one time. Hit <Enter> again.
  6. Hit the <Cursor Down> key two times until the item "Plot graph >" is highlighted. Hit <Enter> two times. After the first <Enter> you'll see a summary of all relevant parameters, the second time the Mandelbrot set is calculated.
