1.0 About
---------
Global Warming: A Road Adventure is my entry for this years TINS.
I spent the first 2 Days writing the framework and the last 12 hours writing the game,
so pretty much everything that was going to be cool got cut out.

Anyway this years TINS rules and how there were implemented:

Genre: Garbage
--------------
The streets are covered in garbage, oil spills, and some freaky looking sign which
was supposed to be some kind of garbage.

Artistic: Current News
----------------------
This isn't evident in the game. Originally I was going to have cut scenes or something
to explain this, but if you read the story you'll see how this relates.
It's supposed to relate to the news about global warming and a conspiracy theory
on how the oil industry wants to keep consumers dependent on the fossil fuel for as
long as possible, but there's no way thats going to come across from playing the game.
(Well you may wonder why there is a tree on the front side of the car but aside
from that).

Technical Req: Explosion + Smoke
--------------------------------
Both should be evident after a few minutes of playing.

Previously Written Code
----------------------
See credits section.

Although I timed myself poorly, wasted large amounts of time, and wrote some rather poor
code in places I'm satisfied enough with my entry. It should prove mildly entertaining
for the 2 minutes it lasts. And it's been a while since I've last entered a contest.

I'll definitely be a lot more prepared for the next one!

Written For TINS 2007!

1.1 License
-----------
I'll place the code under GPLv2 for now. With a re-release this may change.

1.2 Story
------------
A group of independent researchers have completed a prototype of a completely
earth friendly automobile, which not only has no harmful effects but the fumes it emits
even counter effect the abundance of CO2 in the air!

Eager to share their invention, the researches decide to head to Brussels to display
this invention to the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change).

However the evil oil industry has discovered these plans and has attempted to obstruct
the path to the meeting to stall any possible production plans.

It is up to you to steer the vehicle through the treacherous trash and save the
earth!

1.3 How to Play
---------------
Move left and right to dodge obstacles. Escape to exit.

1.4 Compiling
-------------
Due to time limits I only tested this with Allegro 4.2.0 under MSVC 8 and Win XP.
To compile this you will require the TinyXML library (link in credits).
Aside from this there are no other dependencies.

2.0 Bugs
------------
Oh boy. Some code is poorly written and shouldn't really work and to make matters
worse there are several memory leaks in this application (some are even commented!).

This is by no means stable code, and hopefully soon I'll patch up leaks.
(Ive been doing too much Java programming as of late).

Also the fps counter in the top right will display obfuscated values
for the first 2 seconds. Not a particularly big deal.
