 DarkEdge Games, formerly Dark Adept
Games (and even more formerly Dark Adept
Software), is owned and operated by
Kwame Alexander. He comes up with the
ideas, does all of the coding, does all
of the graphics, does most of the sounds
and steals all of the music. In fact,
he's writing this right now.

DarkEdge games has released a number
of games over the last few years,
including Pongg!, MetaMicroMenace, an
untitled RPG and a text-based racing
game.

Ruprect's Quest took a very long time,
(about 3 years) considering its size.
This can be traced to schoolwork and
laziness. However, another reason for
the long development time is that it
incorporates a home-grown scripting
engine, which actively resisted attempts
to code it.

The engine that it is based on is quite
powerful, but requires a long time to
set things up. Had any tools been made,
the game would likely have been quite a
bit larger and more extravagant. Once
again, laziness rears its ugly head.

 "I don't care. It's done. The beast
hath been slain. I've seen the light at
the end of the tunnel, and this time, it
wasn't an oncoming train,"

Cadence? What's Cadence?
