Hitler's War Emulator v2.13	28/May/07
===============================
Introduction
===============================
The Hitler's War Emulator is an implementation of the Metagaming/Avalon Hill boardgame
Hitler's War for the PC. The program uses the Allegro games programming library.
See http://www.talula.demon.co.uk/allegro/ for details of this superb *free* package.
The Emulator is Freeware - you may copy and distribute it freely provided you
do not make any profit. However, it is requested that you actually own a
copy of the Boardgame to use the Hitlers War Emulator to avoid copyright infringement.

It is currently possible to play a hotseat or network game of Hitler's War.
All 4 scenarios are supported. All optional rules are supported except for the
optional Italian rules. There is no Computer (AI) player yet.
See the website for an up to date bug / wish list.

Missing Elements

The italian army optional rules have not been implemented.

Known bugs
- Entering Siberia outside the "hex" with the 8 in it, doesn't cause destruction of all
  the production.
- Cannot start a second network game - it hangs at startup/network cleanup.
- Game does not always clean up correctly on exit.
- Indicate more clearly when waiting for the other side in a network game.
- Indicate more clearly which faction is being played in a network game.
- Tooltip text occasionally overlaps with the popup windows.
- What happens to French fleets when France surrenders (rule claraifications are very
  strange) ?
- In the network game, the path of an amphibious invasion is only shown to the player
  conducting the invasion.

Wish List
- Add computer AI controlled players.
- Optional rules as available from the internet.
- More detailed on screen instructions (i.e. help) to show how to play.
- Show the die-roll span in a popup for each potential advance choice.
- Allow initial placement of fleets (this is currently automatic).
- PBEM Play By Email support.
- Allow 'force browsing' so that player can look at opponents force display.
