The Main Menu:
Game modes:
There are two types of games
(single player and multi player). This
game, like original Duel is primarily a two player death match game, but unlike
Duel, this has many other game modes.
They are:
Two Player:
Duel -- the main death match game
Tag -- be 'it' the least
Drone Kill --
work cooperatively to destroy as many drones as you can
Asteroids -- a classic asteroids game (work cooperatively)
One Player:
Drone Kill -- kill as many drones as you can in the time
limit
Missile Avoid -- avoid the homing missiles
Asteroids -- a classic asteroids game
**all of
the game modes are described in more depth below**
High scores:
The high scores section will
display the high scores for all of the game modes that have highscores. Press the left and right keys to switch the
game.
Selecting a Map:
In Duel and Tag you have the
option to select the map you wish to play on prior to the start of the game. Use the left and right arrows to switch
between maps, and the up and down arrows to change textures. Enter to select the map, and begin play.
Gameplay:
The controls:
Player 1:
Keypad -- ship
movement
Right Ctrl --
fire weapon
Right Shift --
change weapon
Player 2:
W,A,D Keys -- ship
movement
Left Ctrl --
fire weapon
Left Shift --

The screen:
At the bottom of
the screen is listed the players' ammo, current weapon, and time (for tag) or lives(other game modes).
Game Modes:
There are 8 different game modes
(6 unique games).
Duel
The two players fight each other
(starting with seven lives each). New
weapons will appear on the screen as the game goes on. Simply, just make sure that your opponent
runs out of lives before you do.
Tag
One player will have a red
circle around it, that is the player that is
'it'. Run into your opponent to make it
'it'. Each player has a timer that keeps
track of how long they have been it. At
the end of the time limit, the player that has been it the longest looses.
Drone
Kill (one and two players)
There are ten drones flying
randomly around the screen (the green things).
When you destroy one, it will regenerate randomly on the map. You simply have to destroy as many as you can
in the time limit.
Asteroids
(one and two players)
This is just a classic asterodis game. When
you destroy a large asteroids it will split into two
medium asteroids, and when you destroy a medium asteroid it will split into to
small asteroids. Destroying a small asteroids will leave nothing. Destroy all of the
asteroids to move on to the next level.
Missile
Avoid
There will be a ship in the
middle of the screen (you can't run into it).
It spins, shooting an unlimited supply of homing missiles. You have to survive as long as you can on your
five lives.
You are placed in the asteroids
arena with lots of asteroids floating around, but you are given no weapon
