				  Dr Lovepeace
				       or
How I learned to hate the bombs

This is a game made in a weekend for the SpeedHack 2002 competition.
The SpeedHack 2002 webpage is at http://www.allegro.cc/speedhack/
Dr Lovepeace is Copyright 2002 Annie Testes and Vincent Penquerc'h.

Dr Lovepeace is a new field medic, and wants to join an international
medical organization. This game retraces her carreer.

This game is free software. See the file COPYING for details.
It was done on Linux, but should also work on other platforms supported
by the Allegro game programming library.

The latest version of Dr Lovepeace and precompiled binaries can be found at:
http://lyrian.obnix.com/drlovepeace/

Requirements:
 - Allegro 4.0 (can be found at http://www.allegro.cc/)
 - EGG 1.21 (included in file egg.zip)
   * Note that EGG 1.2 is not sufficient *
 - can use mouse or joystick (joystick untested)

Installation:
You must have installed the archive with the directory structure preserved.
This is done with the '-d' flag using DOS PKUnzip. To check if the directory
structure is preserved, look in the directory where the file 'Makefile' is.
In this directory, there should be a directory named gfx (and some others
as well).
If you use a Unix system, use the '-a' option using unzip to convert text
files from DOS format to Unix format.

Build:
Edit the makefile to suit your needs. In pasrticular, the game needs
EGG to compile. EGG is included in this archive, in file egg.zip.
If you don't have it already, install it, and set its path in the Makefile.

Controls:
Move the mouse (two white circles) to select the direction to move towards
When the mouse is within the white circle around the van, the van won't move
People within the blue circle are automatically rescued when the van
  does not move
 Press ESC to quit
A joystick can be used instead of the mouse (untested).
To use the joystick, use the '--use-joystick' switch.

Thanks to Arron Shutt and Matthew Leverton for organizing the contest.

Love,
    Annie
