CVB Read Me Dec. 21, 2001

Introduction:

Thank you for playing my new game, CVB!

CVB is not an acronym for something, but it is pronounced like one. It should be
pronounced as "SeeVeeBee". However, if you come up with a clever phrase to make this
game's title an acronym, feel free to email me the idea. I might use it.

Requirements:

Windows 9x Computer (A CPU running at 500 MHz would be nice.)
   A OpenGL compliant video card.
   A sound card.
Two people to play against each other, or one person playing against self.

Aim of the game:

The aim of the game (pun intended :)) is to hit each other's tank with a mortar before
the other player does. The game has game play similar to quite a few games made in the
1980's and 1990's including games such as Atari's "Artillery" and Microsoft's "Gorilla".

Controls:

Mouse Movement - Moves the camera.

Mouse Wheel - Adjusts the distance from the camera to the tank.

Left Mouse Button - Fires a shot.

Up / Down Arrows - Changes the vertical angle of the cannon.

Left / Right Arrows - Changes the horizontal angle of the cannon.

"Minus" key (-) / "Equals" key (=) - Changes the power (velocity) of the mortar.

Shift Key - Multipies the movement and power changes by 10. Use this to move faster.

Q/W/E/A/S/D - Keyboard controls for the camera if one does not like the mouse control.

Escape - Quit to the main menu.

Control-Q - Immediately exits the game.

Notes:

When you fire a shot, the camera will start to rotate as it scrolls over to the
other player's tank. Move the camera manually to stop the rotation.

If you want to run the game in a 1024x768 window, pass the program "-windowed"
as a command switch (without the quotes :)).

This program most likely has some bugs, but I do not know of any right now. If you
find any let me know.

However, I do not accept responsibility for any effects, adverse or otherwise,
that this software may have on you, or any of your possessions, friends, etc.
